    Zulema Renee Summerfield is a writer, educator, and creative coach. She is the author of Every Other Weekend, out now in paperback from Little, Brown, and her short fiction has been published in a number of literary journals. She has taught writing in venues ranging from elementary to high schools and online classrooms. In addition to teaching elements of story and structure, Zulema specializes in goal management and creative problem-solving for students. A MacDowell Colony fellow, she is currently at work on a new novel and a collection of short stories. When she’s not teaching or writing, Zulema enjoys swimming and spending time with her family.
