Leonardo believes that every student deserves the confidence to explore their passions and the skills to pursue them boldly. He is especially committed to supporting students from diverse and marginalized backgrounds, helping them discover their academic interests, strengthen their research abilities, and grow into confident thinkers and communicators.

Leonardo graduated with honors from both Brown University (B.A., International and Public Affairs) and the University of Chicago (M.A., International Relations), where he focused on global politics and democratic institutions. Even before college, Leonardo built a strong foundation in historical thinking—completing 16 AP courses and earning recognition as a National AP Scholar, with particular strength in AP U.S. History and AP World History. His success across advanced coursework and national scholarship competitions has equipped him to guide students in excelling at standardized tests such as AP exams and related assessments. He has also worked at the U.S. Department of State, Boston Consulting Group, and the White House, experiences that gave him a deep understanding of how ideas shape policy and change lives. At Genesis Education, he draws on both his academic expertise and his passion for student growth to help learners build critical thinking, research skills, and the confidence to thrive in any field.
