Emma is a language arts mentor, educator, musician and songwriter from North Carolina, currently based in New York City. She graduated from Harvard University with her BA in History & Literature (American Studies) and Music. Emma was dually enrolled at Berklee College of Music in Boston as a part of the highly selective, intensive joint studies program between the two schools. At Berklee, she expanded upon her knowledge of music business and education after having earned acclaim as a nationally-recognized jazz singer (YoungArts, Essentially Ellington, DownBeat Magazine). Emma is passionate about education and has taught students of all ages for over 8 years, specializing in English and Language Arts. When she’s not teaching or working on music, Emma enjoys reading a good book, taking a pilates class, and cooking a new recipe.
