Anna Dean is an exceptional educator and writer, graduating from Harvard University with a degree in the humanities, where she focused on literature, writing, and critical analysis. During her time at Harvard, Anna was recognized for her outstanding academic work and received multiple prestigious fellowships, including the LOEB Religion Research Fellowship, the Harvard Radcliffe Institute Fellowship, and the Harvard College Humanities Senior Thesis Fellowship. Her academic career reflects her deep commitment to the humanities and her exceptional talent in both research and writing.
Anna has extensive experience teaching high school English and history in Cambridge, Massachusetts, with a specialization in advanced reading comprehension and analytical writing. She is particularly skilled at helping students develop strong essay-writing abilities, both for academic success and for competitive college admissions. Her teaching style is engaging, clear, and rigorous, equipping students with the tools they need to excel in literary analysis and persuasive writing.
Since 2018, Anna has also taught competitive debate, coaching nationally ranked debaters and further strengthening her ability to teach argumentation and structured writing. In addition, she has worked closely with students on college application and scholarship essays since 2021, successfully guiding many to Ivy League admissions and prestigious national scholarships, including the Coca-Cola Scholarship and the United States Senate Youth Program Scholarship—both of which she was awarded herself.
Anna is passionate about helping students find their voice through writing and reading. She brings a wealth of knowledge, experience, and a deep understanding of how to nurture each student’s unique strengths. Parents and students alike appreciate her ability to make complex ideas accessible while maintaining high standards. Outside of teaching, Anna enjoys listening to podcasts, drinking coffee, and practicing yoga.
